Geneviève Saint-Louis, 38, a neurotic career woman, single and without a family, works like crazy on her social rise. Believing herself in control of her life, she aims neither more nor less than the highest levels of the world of public communications. But that's without counting on the unexpected appearance of his aunt Aline. To escape placement in a reception center and ultimately death, Aline will literally put her fate in the hands of this niece who has done so well. Geneviève will find herself in forced cohabitation with this penniless septuagenarian, former cabaret singer to fame long since disappeared, a little nutty, scheming, fabulous and sometimes downright liar. Aline's presence will wreak havoc on Geneviève's complicated but highly organized lifestyle, disrupt her already fragile relationship with her boyfriend Pierre-Alexandre Langlois, and jeopardize her ambitious career plan. But in her fight to live fully until the end, Aline will also take Geneviève on a Dantesque odyssey through the meanders of her unbridled imagination, towards mysterious family origins and a love story of grandiose youth. This odyssey will take them far from Geneviève's world, far from reception centers and slow death, even under the Cuban sun. Where it all began?
