Twenty five years ago, Leo was born in the orang-utan orphanage created by his dad. When he dies, the Indonesians take over the orphanage and Leo, who feel excluded, decide to leave for France and discover civilization, which he doesn't know anything about. His dad taught him music and poetry. He isn't a wild boy but he simply has a pure and idealistic vision of our world. In France, he will meet characters that embody main shortcomings of this end of the century.
